Represent Root 2 on Number Line

We will take help of Pythagoras theorem for representing under root 2 on number line.

Pythagoras theorem says: In any right triangle, the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares whose sides are the two legs (the two sides that meet at a right angle).

Or we can say:
In a right angled triangle: the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.

We can get √2 as hypotenuse if other two sides are equal to 1 each.
